Is there such a thing as paraliberalism?

Yes and no. If you think of an -ism as a conviction that is shared by many adherents, then there is no paraliberalism in that sense. However, if you need a name for the considerations, the conclusions, and the attitudes that arise from a paraliberal viewpoint, as defined in this website, then the word paraliberalism would be the natural choice.

I have used the word paraliberalism liberally in some earlier texts, but because of the above observations I avoid using it now, and I prefer to say the paraliberal stance or the paraliberal viewpoint for those considerations, conclusions, and attitudes. The books and articles that are listed under the heading 'Publications' (at the top of this page) may be taken as a description of that paraliberal stance.
